We Are NC Services for Dentistry

NC Services for Dentistry was established by the NC Dental Society to leverage the collective purchasing power of its members and secure more favorable rates and programs. Every service offered has undergone extensive research and review to help you minimize expenses and enhance your investments.  Using NCSD allows us to share more resources with the NCDS Foundation and promote improved oral care in NC.

Spotlight on Leaders from Organized Dentistry

This month we are celebrating a new addition to the NCDS team — Ms. Adwoa Asare, MBA!

With over 15 years of professional experience in business and nonprofits, Adwoa is a strategic leader who turns ambitious vision into executable reality. She joined the NC Dental Society in March as its first Director of Insight, providing data-driven business solutions and marketing intelligence on all resources provided by NC Services for Dentistry. She reports to Chief Innovation Officer, Mr. Duncan Jennings, CAE and has already met members of the NCDS Board of Trustees, Services for Dentistry Board of Directors, Foundation Board President, and joined the Golden Opportunities planning committee. As a Durham native, you are likely to run into Adwoa downtown supporting a local sports team and trying a new local restaurant.

Prior to joining the NC Dental Society, Adwoa worked for Impact Capital Managers and Bridges Impact Foundation as the Director of the Turner MIINT (MBA Impact Investing Network & Training) program. While there she grew the global program 22% in year one, managed +450 students annually from 40 top graduate schools, managed a portfolio of 24 impact investments, built an alumni council of 25 members to represent a community of +5,000 worldwide, and lead a monthly steering committee of seasoned investors and distinguished professors.

While working at Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, NC, Adwoa moved up the ranks from AmeriCorps member to Associate Director of Community Development & Engagement. As a community organizer, she worked with policy makers, community members, private and public institutions to move the needle on affordable housing. Under her leadership, the home repair program grew 900% and established itself as a core service product in addition to new home construction.

She is a talented project manager with an entrepreneurial spirit and spark for inclusive ideas. Adwoa earned an MBA from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University and BA in Psychology from Wake Forest University. She is a proud aunt who loves to travel, listen to audiobooks, and spend time on a beach anywhere in the Atlantic or Caribbean.
